The Clay Shed

The Clay Shed is my workshop which is set in the Adelaide hills and forms part of The Barn.

The Barn was the old horse stables for the Victorian homestead Wairoa.  Among other owners, belonged to the Barr Smith family and served as their summer house for 30 years.

From 1973-2004 Marbury school was run on the property as well as its adjoining properties. The Barn was used by the school for the art department and saw many creative moments over the years.  The Clay Shed is situated adjacent to The Barn and was used to educate students in ceramics.

In 2014 the barn was reinvented once again. Worth Gallery owner and operator Amy Sierp-Worth saw the opportunity for The Barn to house the gallery’s showroom, as well as offering studio spaces and a beautiful teaching space for the community to enjoy.
